My favorite YouTubers

I thought I would make a post for all the You Tube people I watch about crafting. My favorite person lately has been very entertaining. Beth (Bethsscrapbookroom) does a lot of challenges where people send in cards and their artist trading cards. She gives them to good causes and also collects items from people for things like disaster relief. She’s great. Just funny and kind and so much fun to listen to. I love watching her videos. So check her out. She’s first on my list.

Beth’s Scrapbook Room

Pretty Pink Posh is such a fun, bright, channel. She sells sequins and dies (and probably her own stamps here soon) and she is very lovely. Plus she lives near me coincidentally! Blog and store here.

Jennifer McGuire is my favorite card maker to watch. She explains things well and makes them so easy to do. You should definitely be watching her for new techniques! Blog here.

Michelle Short is The Card Grotto. I love her accent and her fun cards. Most of her videos as of now are about organization and stuff that she buys. I’m all about watching videos on more stuff I can buy. In fact, I bought from a company in the UK because of her! Clearly Besotted Stamps has great stuff!

Kristina Werner is GREAT with Copic markers, if you are looking for some guidance. She has lovely cards, and was one of the first people I started watching. Blog here.

Laura Sterckx not only has a really cool last name, but she’s only 17! She might be 18 now I’m not sure. She’s in Belgium (I’m pretty sure!) and loves the sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Her cards are always so cute and her accent is also adorable. Plus her website is called Making Cards is Fun. So that’s cute. 🙂

Go check those guys out!

Boo from me to you

Hello! Halloween is my favorite “holiday” so I’m here to show you a couple cards I made this week.

I just love the Polka Dot Parade #7 mini set of the ghost and his attire by Papertrey Ink. I used that set and the Bubble Talk stamp and die sets to create this card. I also used a Stitched Squares die from Lil’ Inker for the background. Mama Elephant inks made an appearance as well. I think he turned out cute!

I also used Mama Elephant’s “Bootastic” set to create the below card. I did use Versafine black ink (which CAN bleed with Copics) but had good luck when I just stayed away from the black while I colored. I wanted a crisper black image when I stamped and I don’t get that with Momento Black Tuxedo ink (which you can color OVER with Copics and not worry about bleeding). I finished the card off with some cute enamel dots I had. I also used the outermost Stitched Rectangle die from Lil’ Inker just to pierce the stitches into the 4.25 x 5.5 piece of cardstock that I put on top of my card base. That largest die doesn’t cut OUT a rectangle, it just puts the stitches in. I learn something new every day about the things I already own. 🙂
